Located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Arbor Valley Academy (AVA) is a College Board-recognized private high school. Focused on international education, AVA prepares students for diverse academics through tailored training pathways and blended learning, enhancing their performance, English proficiency, and cultural awareness.
What we are providing
Arbor Valley Academy (AVA) in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a College Board-accredited private high school focused on preparing students for global success. We provide diverse training pathways and blended learning to boost academic proficiency, English skills, and cultural competence.
1. AVA ON CAMPUS
Available In Michigan & Florida*
On Campus Domestic refers to students attending AVA from within the United States. These students are afforded the opportunity to call on AVA tutors and staff throughout the day, as well connect with their peers.
The following pathways are available for the AVA On Campus Program:
On Campus International
On Campus International refers to students applying to AVA from outside of the United States. Through an I20, students attend schooling at our campus located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Once completed, students can easily transfer their I20 over to their university of choice, and or one of our university partners providing conditional offers.
On Campus Domestic
On Campus Domestic refers to students attending AVA from within the United States. These students are afforded the opportunity to call on AVA tutors and staff throughout the day, as well connect with their peers.

2. AVA ALI
(American Language Institute) / Non-Degree Seeking Program
Virtual International & Virtual Domestic
AVA ALI
is a program to help students achieve English proficiency in partnership with the American Language Institute at the University of Toledo. It offers an online program with instructional meetings that exempt students from the IELTS exam at most colleges.
The following pathways are available for the AVA ALI program:
Virtual International refers to students attending AVA from out of the United States. These students may take courses through the AVA ALI International pathway from their home country and graduate with an American high school diploma.
Virtual Domestic refers to students attending AVA-ALI from within the United States. These students may take courses through the AVA ALI virtual pathway from their state and graduate with an American high school diploma. If students are located in Michigan, they are permitted to do coursework at our Ann Arbor campus.
3. AVA AP Scholar
AVA AP Scholar is a program designed for students aiming to take Advanced Placement (AP) courses to enhance their college applications and academic credentials. This program provides a structured environment for students to excel in their AP courses with the support of experienced tutors.


4. AVA ESSENTIALS
AVA Essential is AVA's newest pathway option for high school students. AVA Essential offers individual course completion as well as an opportunity to earn an American high school diploma, all under an affordable and flexible model. Students can log in and complete coursework at any time of the day with 24 hour access to unit exams. All AVA Essential coursework is transferable to other schools and courses can be taken all year round.
