Arbor Valley Academy Uses the Edgenuity Platform
The curriculum at Arbor Valley Academy is based on the Edgenuity platform, which prepares high school students for college and for a successful career after earning their high school diploma.
The Arbor Valley Academy curriculum uses engaging ELA, math, science, social studies, world languages, Advanced Placement®, CTE, and elective courses are designed to help students in grades 9–12 meet the rigor of Common Core, as well as state standards and graduation requirements. Rigorous, interactive courses keep students focused on the content they need to learn, which is designed to foster the advanced critical thinking and analytical skills they will need in post-secondary education. Every class at Arbor Valley Academy contains the following:
Expert on-screen teachers provide high school curriculum instruction, model strategic thinking, and make real-world connections.
Interactive Tasks and Assignments
Students will read and write, explore and create, practice, predict, and more in order to develop analytical and critical thinking skills.
Formative and Summative Assignments
A variety of assessments test for mastery and immediately provide direct, actionable feedback for students and teachers.
Interactive Learning Tools
Our full suite of learning tools and scaffolds includes read aloud and text translation, and helps students access content, organize information, and complete assignments.
